Paddle Information
Snow removal – Shovels and brooms are located in the containers behind the old hut, near the parking lot. Return them when you are finished. Do not chisel ice off the court because it damages the court surface.
Heaters – Heater controls are located in the old paddle hut. Heaters should ONLY be used to remove ice and only turned on after snow has been removed from the court. Heaters should NOT be used to dry the courts during or after rain. Both are extremely expensive and ineffective. If it is raining, please consider not playing as the surface can be slippery and dangerous.
Icy deck – Be careful. The walkways and stairs become icy. Sand and salt mixture is at the bottom of the stairs behind court 3 near the back side of the old hut. Do not use this on the courts.
Etiquette – Leave the courts & tables like you found them. Remove old balls, cans, water bottles, etc. Wipe down tables after use. Turn off lights in the hut and courts if you are the last one to leave.
DEMO PADDLES:
The Demo Paddles are now available and hanging in the Hut. If you try out a paddle, PLEASE return it to the wall in its appropriate place! Paddles are not to leave the FC!
If you are interested in buying a new paddle, please fill out the form that will be by the demo wall. It is important to PRINT your name on the order form along with the date. Place the form in the drawer in the kitchen where balls are purchased. Dan will order and contact the member when paddle arrives.
Our Demo Paddles will be available to purchase around the February time frame at a discounted price. We will inform members when that window opens. Any questions, please contact Jenn Willson @jennifer.willson08@gmail.com

SWIRL, SIP, & SERVE PADDLE MIXER January 20th
All levels welcome! Friday, January, 20th 6:30 p.m.
Hosted by Jenny Creelman and Meghan Sheehy
Every Good Party should include Wine and Paddle…so let’s have both! How does this work?
Bring 2 bottles of your favorite $20 and under wine (the 2 bottles should be the SAME wine). When you arrive, we will put one of the two bottles into a brown paper bag to add to the blind tasting. You will be provided with a scorecard. Throughout the evening, sample and rank each brown paper wine bottle you try.
What Else Besides the Wine? Please bring a heavy appetizer to share!
Where does paddle come in?In between swirling and sipping, we will be serving up on the paddle courts in 30-minute random mixed-team matches. If we’re scoring, that means there needs to be a winner right?
After several paddle and wine-tasting rounds, we will tally up the scores and announce the winning bottle of wine. The “winner” of that bottle will go home with all the secondary wine bottles brought to the party! A case of wine, for first place, and if enough people come maybe 6 bottles to second place.
Sounds amazing, how do I join??
Sign up on EZ Facility or in the Paddle Hut. RSVP by Monday, January 16th
This is a ‘FLUID” calendar with the hopes of adding more events throughout the season! Please consider hosting an event as we have plenty of room to expand our social paddle event schedule! Get creative and pick a date! Please reach out to the Paddle Committee or former Host with questions around planning and logistics! Please keep an eye on Ez/MemberMe for sign ups and a list of events.
